Following the success of our charity calendar Privates on Parade, which raised funds for Parkinson's UK, and our eclectic 24-track CD Heroes to Rockstars, produced in support of the Alzheimer's Society, the Bridlington Veterans are proud to present our latest fundraising project, Tides & Tales.

This unique collection features 11 original fictional short stories written by members of the Bridlington Veterans Coffee Morning Group. From mystery and espionage to romance, adventure, humour and even a touch of time travel, each story showcases the imagination and creativity of its author. Together they form a wonderfully varied collection that promises something for every reader.

​

Most importantly, Tides & Tales has been created to raise money for St Catherine's Hospice, Scarborough, with all profits from book sales going directly towards supporting the outstanding care, comfort and compassion they provide to local people and their families.

The book will be officially launched on Sunday 28th June 2026 outside the Bridlington Echo offices on High Street in Bridlington Old Town at The Old Town Festival and will be available for just £10 per copy. We are also delighted to announce that Tides & Tales will soon be available through Amazon, allowing supporters from across the country and the World to purchase a copy and help support this worthy cause.

 

What began as a group of veterans meeting regularly over coffee has evolved into a group of storytellers determined to make a difference.
